As grey matters brought out it is entirely personal but I for one would be thrilled to participate. I think that it would be great fun and who knows maybe meet up with some old friends.

i know this site is pretty popular amongst ex-witnesses.

Remember when KH's had a piano and real singing?
by WingCommander inthe thread about got me thinking about my very early childhood, back when witnesses were allowed to be social and have get togethers.
they also had a piano in every congregation i ever attended, and an older sister would always play the kingdom melody.
there was actual singing - not mindless droning and humming.

Still in one piece but the wheelchair isn't

i was out gallavanting around - buying one thing here another there and finally heading home.. the chair hit a bump and the front wheel broke off sending me flying with the chair landing on top of me.
personally i think it was a temper tantrum designed to let me know they were tired and wanted to ride me for a while.. i had just passed a man sitting on a bench waiting for the bus and he rushed right over to help.

Oh Lady Lee,
I am sorry that you had to go through all of this! What an awful experience but isn't it always great to realize that there are some really good people out there willing to help and make certain that you are fine. That in itself is a glorious affirmation.

Mom just told she would dime me out and get me disfellowshipped
by What-A-Coincidence inmy momma walked in caught me dozing and she saw what was on my desk ... a bottle of coffee liqueur.. she said if i get drunk she would talk to the elders and have me disfellowshipped.

Hi Earthtone,
It is my understanding that the change in the pre baptism questions at the conventions as of 1985 actually now results in you entering into a contract with the Watchtower Society whereas before that you were only publicly entering into a contract with Jehovah God. I was baptized in 75.
Anytime the watchtower makes any changes no matter how minute you have to watch carefully . It is always for their interests and to get more control.

Has anyone had Shingles???
by mama1119 inhello.... i was in the er last night because apparently i have shingles!!!!!!!!
the doctor said it is caused by stress, which re-activates the chicken pox virus that lays dormant in your system.
so i guess i need to learn some stress management skills.

Been there, done that. Get lots of rest. Do exactly as the dr. says and eat high quality food. But the most important thing of all is try to cut out or cut down on current levels of stress.

Of course my soon to be ex hubby sat there just looking at the ringing phone when I said that I am not answering it and NOT going to talk! In other words... duhhh so what do I do now Mary??!! Its almost over... keep reminding me, ok?
The other decision that I made was that because I was baptized waayy before 1985 I will seek legal action if they announce me.
They have no right. I have the rights at this point and I am going to exercise them. Aahhh, that felt good.

The call came around 8 pm last night

i called out to my soon to be ex, who now lives in different part of the house and told him to pick up the phone as it was his call.
the sister and brother in law had just landed home from the district convention!!

THe worst part is she does it in the most syrupy sweet voice.
